To download an eBook onto the iPad/iPod Touch/iPhone:

You will need:

Overdrive Media Console App

Your library card & PIN

iOS v4.0 (or newer)

Adobe ID & Password

Connection to the internet

Steps:

1. Download the Overdrive App from the App store onto your Device.
2. From the Overdrive App, select “Get Books”
3. Search for your home library Put in your zip code and select “North Canton Public Library” – Ohio eBook Project
4. From here you can search for eBooks to check out and download. Enter search criteria (title, author) into search box at the top of the page, and Limit to Media Type to “Adobe EPUB eBook”. (The Apple devices will only recognize Adobe EPUB NOT Adobe PDF)
5. When you find a title that you want to check out, click on “Add to Digital Cart” (if it says “Place a Hold” all copies are checked out. You can place a hold on the item and be notified when it is ready to be checked out) and follow the prompts to confirm the checkout.
6. You will be prompted to enter your library card and PIN.
7. With an item checked out, touch the green button that says “Download”
8. The item will open in Overdrive (this is when you will be asked to authorize the device with an Adobe ID)
9. You will be asked if you want to download now or later – choose “download now.”
10. After the download is complete the book will be listed in the Overdrive Media Console App.
